This ability to identify and manipulate the individual sounds of language is called phonological awareness. And researchers have concluded that it is the best predictor of success in reading. Earobics also systematically controls the amount of visual cueing and auditory feedback, the rate at which sounds are presented, the length of sound units and the amount of background noise competing for the student's attention. The software carefully guides students through learning, giving them more help when they need it and fading cues as their skills develop.

Earobics features easy-to-use management tools that give you control of the learning process. Using the Dataview and Preferences screens, you can:

It systematically teaches the critical phonological awareness, listening and introductory phonics skills required for learning to read and spell, with entertaining characters and encouraging feedback that kids love!

Earobics features sophisticated adaptive training technology that automatically adjusts the level of instruction to your child's skill level and progress. You can set the starting level for each game at Beginning, Intermediate or Advanced. A Progress Chart tracks your child's skill improvements.

While the rate of progress varies from child to child , , most show significant skill improvement from using Earobics only 15 to 20 minutes per day, three times a week.

The Earobics Home Version is a "consumable" product that accommodates only two players and a guest. Players names cannot be deleted. Earobics Step 1

For pre-K, kindergarten, and some first, has six games and over 300 levels of play. It teaches your child how to:
